Wandered in here during a quiet Saturday afternoon and ended up with one of those properly lovely meals you don't see coming. The place was warm and welcoming the moment we walked in, our table was lovely, and our server was a complete delight throughout the afternoon. The food was honestly excellent β proper portions, fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked and presented without being precious. We worked through a starter to share, mains each, and a dessert we shared at the end because we couldn't resist. The pace was perfect and the atmosphere stayed warm and unhurried throughout. The bill at the end was very fair. Going back deliberately next weekend. Genuinely impressive place.

Our poke bowls were AWESOME and the employees were friendly. Once the management fixes the AC, we will come back and also give a 5-star review. We sympathize with the employees who had to work in the extremely hot and unventilated room, must be awful. Also, buying a bowl of fish from a restaurant without working AC isn't so attractive.

My family has enjoyed this site for several years & Doordash it often. My sister & I often get our bowls w Green rice. Its delicate light green color and subtle macha flavor is always delicious, a 5 star rate, untill today. Today our Doordash meals were disappointing. The fish & vegentables were fresh & delicious, as always, but the green rice was horrid. It was nearly black in color and the macha appeared poured on top, rather than the rice having been boiled in it. Needless to say the macha taste was overpowering & tinted some pieces of fish an unpleasant green-gray color. Very unappetising. I hope you are able to make the green rice like you did before because the rest of the food at this site is amazing.

My dining companion and I were surprised by the quality of the food in this understated, hole-in-the wall place. The ahi was notably fresh and the shrimp portion generous. I appreciated having four base options that included brown rice as one. Don't expect any atmosphere, but the bowls were just as we like them, the price good, and the service by the young ladies behind the counter excellent.

Everything tastes so FRESH & the quality of the fish they get is very high quality. You get a decent amount with each scoop & theyβve even increased the size of the scoop they use to make up for recent price increase. ALSO YOU MUST TRY THE GREEN TEA RICE AS YOUR BASE ! You can thank me later. I love this place ! Iβve been meaning to leave this review for a while now. Just moved to Modesto 3 months ago and & am so happy this place is not to far from my pad. The employees are all awesome & the price is fair.
